Privacy policy
AlphaCheck is a free calculator. It has no accounts, no ads, and no cookies. This page explains the little data that is processed when you use it. Last updated: October 14, 2026.
Who runs AlphaCheck
AlphaCheck is an independent, non-commercial project. For any privacy question or request, email alphacheck-dev@proton.me.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for a name, a wallet address, or a password, and there is no sign-in. The calculator runs in your browser on a published chain snapshot; the amounts you type are not sent to us. The site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage for tracking. There are no ads, ad networks, or third-party trackers.
Watchlist (browser storage)
If you star a subnet, the list of starred subnet numbers is saved in your browser's local storage under the key alphacheck.watchlist. It stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is not used for tracking. You can remove it by un-starring subnets or clearing this site's data in your browser.
Hosting (Vercel)
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States. Like any web host, Vercel processes connection data needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, the time of the request, the requested URL, and your browser's user agent, and may keep short-lived logs for security and operations. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not build advertising profiles. It records the page visited, the referring page, an approximate location (country), and browser, operating system, and device type. According to Vercel, visitors are identified only by a hash computed from the request that is discarded after 24 hours, so individual visitors are not tracked across days or sites. You can block it with any script or content blocker without losing any function of the site. See Vercel Web Analytics privacy.
Newsletter (Buttondown)
If you submit the newsletter form, your email address is sent to Buttondown, which stores it with the signup time and delivery data and sends the newsletter for us. You will be asked to confirm your subscription, and every issue has an unsubscribe link. We use your address only to send the newsletter; we do not sell or share it. Nothing else on the site requires your email. See Buttondown's privacy policy.
Chain data
Yield figures come from a daily snapshot of the public Bittensor Finney blockchain, read by our build server through a public RPC endpoint. Your browser loads that snapshot from our own site and does not connect to the blockchain. The snapshot contains only public on-chain data.
Links to other sites
Pages link to external sites (for example documentation or X). Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Retention
Hosting logs and analytics data are kept according to Vercel's retention periods. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing alphacheck-dev@proton.me. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
AlphaCheck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
